Privacy policy

This page states what is collected, where it goes, how long it is kept and how to have it deleted. It is written to be read, not to be worked around.

Who is responsible

Halyna Lavrik, Chicoutimi, Quebec, is the person responsible for the protection of personal information. Questions, access requests and deletion requests all go to one address: nova@lavrikgeo.com.

Answers come in writing, within thirty days.

What this site collects

Reading a page collects nothing. There are no tracking cookies, no audience measurement and no advertising pixels. One thing is stored on your device: the display variant you chose. It never leaves your browser.

If you write to Cléo, the assistant on this page, your text is processed in order to answer you. At the end of the exchange, a summary and the transcript are passed to Halyna Lavrik so she can follow up.

Write to Cléo what you would write in a first email. Nothing more.

Where the data goes

The site is hosted in Toronto, Canada. The conversation itself is sent to the language-model provider that writes the reply; its servers are outside Canada. The end-of-conversation summary is delivered through Telegram.

This is a transfer of information outside Quebec, and it is named here rather than left unsaid.

Written prospecting

Halyna Lavrik writes to Quebec businesses to offer her services. What is kept about a company comes from public sources: its website, a job posting, a news article. Every item carries the link to its source and the date.

A person’s name and title are kept only when they are publicly published and the message concerns their professional role. No data is bought and no list is rented.

Every email carries the sender’s name, a postal address and the way to refuse further messages.

Refusing emails

Reply with “remove me” or any clear equivalent. The address then moves to a permanent exclusion list and no further letter is sent.

Removal is handled within the following business days, not at the end of the ten-day legal limit.

The exclusion list is never cleared. That is the point of it.

How long

Information about a company is kept for twenty-four months after the last contact, then deleted.

A conversation with Cléo is kept for as long as it takes to follow up, then deleted.

One exception: an entry on the exclusion list is kept indefinitely. Deleting it would mean writing again to someone who said no.

Your rights

You may ask to see what is held about you, have it corrected, have it deleted, or withdraw your consent. One address is enough: nova@lavrikgeo.com.

If the answer does not satisfy you, the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec can be asked to intervene.

What is not done

Nothing is sold, rented or traded to a third party.

No calls are made and no telephone numbers are collected.

No advertising profile is built.
